His Majesty The King to Inaugurate the World Congress in Stockholm

On June 24, 2024, we are honored to welcome His Majesty The King Carl XVI Gustaf of Sweden to inaugurate the IUFRO World Congress 2024, taking place in Stockholm.

This prestigious event brings together leading researchers and experts from around the world to discuss forestry science and its contribution to a sustainable future.

“We are very pleased and deeply honored that The King will participate and inaugurate the congress, showing his interest in these issues,” says Fredrik Ingemarson, Chair of the Organizing Committee.

As part of the congress week’s program, excursions will be conducted, offering participants a unique insight into Sweden’s diverse forests and forestry practices. The King’s beautiful Drottningholm Palace Park and Haga Park will also be visited to provide a historical and cultural context to the view of forests.
