Keynote Speaker Anne Toppinen – Forest Bioeconomy in the Era of Sustainability Transition
Listen to Professor Anne Toppinen explaining the difference between bioeconomy and circular economy and about the synergies between bio-based raw materials and how they’re reused in a circular fashion to get more value out of it.
On Thursday morning she held her keynote speech titled “Forest bioeconomy in the era of sustainability transition”. In her keynote she underlined forest bioeconomy as a process in which virgin and recycled bio-based resources are utilised more efficiently in industrial processes to create value. The keynote also addressed how the transition toward sustainability is shaping industrial actors and the future of markets, and how the levers of change toward more sustainable social-ecological systems can be embedded at the nexus of bio- and circular economy.
