The story of the Congress Logo

Sep 26, 2022

The IUFRO World Congress 2024 logotype, approved by the IUFRO Board will from now be used to visually frame the upcoming congress.

We are proud to launch the new look and feel of the IUFRO World Congress 2024 identity, recently approved by the IUFRO Board. The visual brand of the 26th IUFRO World Congress, representing the unique IUFRO global network, will help carry out the messages of the upcoming event. This time, the congress will invite and welcome delegates from all over the world to Stockholm, Sweden in close collaboration with the Nordic and Baltic partner countries.

Welcome to the Northern Europe
The congress logotype is based on a Nordic design style with a modern looking, elegant and clean cut. To reflect the upcoming congress geographical region, the appearance of the inverted silhouette of a spruce tree symbolizes the Northern Europe.

Representing all forests and trees
The colours of the logotype are sprung from the Nordic colour palette, with a saturated and warm look and feel. The green colour idea is to reflect both majestic, healthy, fresh and sustainable growing nature. The fictional and non-specified cone, combined with the IUFRO leaf, represents all the worlds’ coniferous and deciduous forests.

A global network for collaboration
The leaf-borne cone of the IUFRO World Congress 2024 logotype, with its beautifully arranged and intertwined scales symbolizes the importance of collaboration for a sustainable future. Every five years the globally connected IUFRO network, represented by more than 15 000 scientists spread over 125 countries, invites scientists and stakeholders from all parts of the world to exchange scientific knowledge and discuss priority areas of forestry and forest related subjects. The forum also includes an interdisciplinary collaboration with the broader scientific community and non-scientific stakeholders with interest and engagement in forests and trees for the future.

Welcome to join us on the journey to the IUFRO World Congress 2024.
