How do I register myself to join the Post Congress tour?

You can register here or by clicking on the “Book Excursion” button on The Baltic Countries – Green Jewels of Europe excursion page.

Within 10 days after the registration, you will receive an invoice by email. Full payment is required to confirm your booking.

What is the deadline to register?

Deadline to register is 2 April 2024.

Who can participate in the tour?

Everyone can participate.

Do I have to be an IUFRO member?

No. The excursions are open to everyone.

Are all the tours confirmed?

Confirmation of the tour is subject to a minimum number of 20 confirmed participants. The confirmations will be sent to the participants on 23 April 2024 at the latest.

Is the Post tour included in the conference registration fee?

No. The Tour is not included in the registration fee but can be booked during registration to the congress. There is a limited number of participants for the tour, up to 40 people.

What is the method of payment?

We only accept bank transfers. Within 10 days after the registration, you will receive an invoice by email. If you haven’t received it, please contact us at kristine@impro.lv

What is included in the cost of my registration for The Baltic Countries – Green Jewels of Europe tour?

The Pre and Post Congress Tours program GENERALLY include:

• Featured: 8 forestry technical and 8 tourist locations
• Transportation: Private transfer – executive 49-seater coach at disposal for all days, including fuel expenses and parking fees.
• Transfer to the Curonian Spit: Ferry and eco fee for entering Curonian Spit
• Guide: Tour guide (bus) and local guides with technical expertise
• Accommodation as per plan: 6 nights in 4 star hotels
• Food: Breakfast in hotel, Lunch (four times) and Dinner (four times). Drinks and tips are not included.
• Taxes: All taxes

What is NOT included in the cost of my registration for The Baltic Countries – Green Jewels of Europe tour?

• Expenses related to individual arrival at the starting point of the tour and individual departure from the end point of the tour
• Travel or health insurance fees
• Visa fee
• Drinks and beverages (unless mentioned otherwise in the itinerary)
• Optional tours, transfer service and tours not mentioned in the itinerary
• Personal expenses such as Souvenirs, Room service, Laundry, bottled Water, Porterage, Bell-Boy charges, Tips etc.)

Visa Information

Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania are in the European Union, the European Economic Area and the Schengen area. In all three countries general Schengen Area travel rules apply. It is participant’s responsibility to ascertain whether a visa is required to enter the Schengen Area. Participants who require an entry visa must allow sufficient time to submit their application.

Even there are no border controls on the internal borders between Schengen countries, we highly recommend you to have your passport or other ID on you while travelling in the Schengen Area. If necessary, the document will be the proof of your identity.

What is the cancellation policy?

Cancellation by the participant:

• Fully refundable prior to 1 January 2024, minus a non-refundable administration fee of EUR 200.
• 60% refundable between 1 January 2024 and 2 April 2024.
• Non-refundable after 2 April 2024.

Cancellation by the organizers:

• Fully refundable.

Who is organizing the IUFRO congress tour “The Baltic Countries – Green Jewels of Europe”?

The tour is organized by Impro Travel in cooperation with SLU (Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences).

What are Terms and Conditions?

• • The Tour itinerary provides precises and non-misleading information on:
    • travel destination, places of visit and services provided during the tour
    • time of services provided, dates in accordance with the itinerary
    • the tour route, including places and times of departure and arrival
    • the classification of the accommodation, location and description of amenities; meals that are included in the price
    • excursions and other activities included in the price of the offer
    • price of the service and reference to possible changes, as well as information about taxes, fees and other payments that are not included in the price of the service
  • All prices are in EURO and include all applicable taxes.
  • Programs are for reference only and may be subject to change in supplier or activity orders.
  • Prices shown are applicable to the specific product at the time of offer and may change prior to the date of travel. All prices are subject to availability and may be withdrawn or changed without notice.
  • Impro Travel has the right to raise the service price due to the changes of transport charges, including fuel charges, compulsory payments imposed by the governments of countries included in the tour itinerary or price increases made by wholesalers or other suppliers not later than 30 days before the tour commencement. Impro Travel indicates the reason of price increase and provides a new price offer with alternative services to match the prices quoted where it is possible. The client has the right to refuse the price increase. In this case Cancelation conditions apply.
  • Please be aware that photography and filming may be done during the tour. The obtained materials may be used, without compensation, for marketing and promotional purposes on the organizer’s website and social networks. If you object to being photographed or filmed, please inform the event organizers in writing.
