The gathered lessons learned from the 2024 congress are humbly delivered by the outgoing Congress Organizing Committee (COC) to the incoming COC and will hopefully support a smooth planning and successful execution of the 2029 congress. The outgoing COC wish to extend best wishes to the next Congress Organizing Committee in arranging the IUFRO World Congress 2029 in Nairobi, Kenya on 5–11 August.

Hereby the incoming Congress Organizing Committee are delighted to invite you to the XXVII IUFRO World Congress 2029, hosted by Kenya under the esteemed leadership of the Kenya Forestry Research Institute (KEFRI). This landmark event represents a significant gathering of global forestry experts and is bolstered by a coalition of East African countries, government ministries, and state agencies.
Key supporters include the Kenya Forest Service (KFS), Tanzania Forestry Research Institute (TAFORI), National Forestry Resources Research Institute (NaFFORI), and numerous IUFRO member organizations within Kenya, such as the Center for International Forestry Research (CIFOR), World Agroforestry (ICRAF), and the African Forest Forum (AFF). Prominent venues like the University of Nairobi and the Kenya International Convention Center (KICC) will play host to the various sessions and events.
